Biggest Thanksgiving Ever!!

Well, it looks like we are going to have a huge thanksgiving dinner this year, and I am so excited! It’s looking like about 25 people will be coming over to my parent’s house for dinner this year. The amount of food I’m sure will be gi-normous, perfect for that “I’m getting married tomorrow” look. Seriously, I am gonna have to do lots of running, before and after dinner for that meal. Not to mention the huge Italian dinner we will be having the night before at the rehearsal dinner. I am now maybe wishing I bought a wedding dress with a stretchy elastic band, ha! That would be disgusting. Anyways, back to Thanksgiving dinner, we usually have some sort of family competition afterwards, and it hasn’t been planned for this year. For the past 2 years, we have had some all out Guitar Hero competitions, complete with experience level based brackets and double-elimination. The year before that it was a poker competition, so I wonder what it will be this year, we probably should start thinking about it, I’m going with some sort of Wii tournament, anybody have any ideas? Another part of Thanksgiving that I am looking forward to is being with Adam and his family, usually we have to play rotating houses, so it will be nice to be able to stay in one spot this year. One tradition we have at Thanksgiving, is everyone has to go around and say what they are thankful for, which I’m sure a lot of people do. And a couple years ago, we had this infamous dinner where everyone cried during their, “I’m thankful for…” speech, I mean everyone, not a dry eye in the house. My uncle John especially, those eyes that were dry before, were quickly teary eyed after his speech. So there have been rumblings if this dinner will be like that one because of the wedding, and the whole family being there, etc. My Uncle David & Aunt Sandi will be in town, and I’m sure they will think we are a bunch of nutcases, and then poor Adam’s family will be there too! Ha, that’s hilarious, I hope they aren’t too uncomfortable. Anyways, I am just excited, I love the holidays, love spending time with family, and love that it will be a packed house this year with the whole family!
