I was eating my homemade lunch (see I am saving money
) today in the breakroom while reading a new book that I picked up when the news anchor on FoxNews came on with an “Internet Addiction Specialist.” My ears immediately perked up, and as I listened she described the newest for of addiction in our society, and that’s an addiction to the internet. Not pornography, or video games, or cigarettes, or alcohol, but that gosh darn computer. She asked pointed question like, “Do you ever get frustrated at your spouse when he/she is on the computer too long, or is checking their email at the dinner table?” Wow! But then I started thinking about how sometimes the internet can be kind of addicting, whether it’s reading blogs, researching something, compulsively checking email, whatever it is, it defintiley can be considered an addiction. If you want to see if you have an issue you can check it out here, I had no idea they have resources for all of these things, kinda crazy huh?

I’ve moved to the burbs
July 31, 2008 · 2 Comments
Well, it happened, as much as I kicked and screamed and said I would never live in the suburbs again, I am back, at least temporarily. Adam and decided it would be a really good decision financially and logistically if we both moved back in with our parents before the wedding. For him, this is super convenient because his job is literally a half mile from is parent’s house. For me, not so convenient because I happen to work downtown, which means I-45 or expensive tolls on the Hardy Toll Road. So Monday was my first day to drive to work, for whatever reason I was super sleepy, and just really had a hard day, so driving in heavy traffic to and from work, plus paying over $5 in tolls, plus gas, I just realized I couldn’t do it every day. So I did something that solidified my suburbanite existence, I got a Metro card, and now take the park’n'ride. I know, I know, I couldn’t believe it either, but since the plan is to save money, and not have me go insane before the wedding due to the worst rush hour traffic in Houston, it was a good decision, but still an adjustment.
I’m figuring it all out, it’s taking sometime, and I do kinda like the idea of sleeping on the way to work, putting my make up on, or even catching up on some much needed reading, and better yet, my company pays for the entire cost of the metro ticket, so my commuting costs have reduced drastically, as well as the stress level of driving downtown during heavy traffic. It’s so funny, I wrote in an earlier blog about how I felt the box of my life was being tossed around and tipped this way and that, and it keeps happening, but it really has been such a good lesson in not holding onto things so tightly. I can be quite the control freak at times, and when things aren’t in my control, I tend to lean towards the side of just grasping to control it, and right now I just can’t, and it’s so weird, but there is such a freedom in it. Although sometimes I still freak out, and want to go back to my old ways, it’s almost like the Lord is making it impossible for me to do it at all, which is a blessing for sure.
Moving in with mom and dad has been good so far. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to make it home for dinner, so I am still waiting for the ‘home cooked meal’ part of the deal to kick in
I also still haven’t completely unpacked, which I definitley need to do because my room is on the verge of looking like a tsunami washed through it, so I am hoping to just get a little organized this weekend. My cousin Jess is moving home next week, also to the burbs, and Alissa’s fiancee Neil is moving in with her parents in the suburbs because they are getting married too, so it’s like one big suburb party. Adam and I are adjusting slowly, it’s strange not having your own space, don’t get me wrong, I have plenty of room, an entire upstairs in my parent’s house, but there is just something different about being so used to having your own space, so we are doing the best we can, but it will really make getting married that much sweeter, so we are getting super duper excited. Wedding planning is still going great, minus the hick up with the dress, things are rolling along. The website should be done tomorrow, fingers crossed, and then we just have some little things to do, but all save that update for another blog, I can’t waste all my content on one. Until then, hope everyone has a great weekend!!

My Bridezilla Moment
July 29, 2008 · Leave a Comment
The wedding planning has gone great so far, there really have been no major hick-ups at all, and things have gone scary smooth, like to the point when you are just waiting for something to go wrong. Which might be a bad attitude to have, I should think about that some more. Anyways, Adam & I have been so blessed to have Melinda, and without her no of this would have gone as smoothly, and the Lord has just really answered our prayers about all the logistics of this wedding. So yesterday, I’m checking off things that are pretty finalized, flowers – kinda checked, reception – pretty much checked, photography – totally checked, ceremony – totally checked, wedding dress – not so much – in fact not at all.
So here is my story, I ordered the dress about a month ago, it was perfect, I loved it, veil ordered, great price, great fit, everything is great. I was super excited, just like I always thought it would be, etc. Better yet, I am going to New York for Chris to take my bridal portraits and I found out last week that I have to go to this training, so I am going up the weekend before to take the pictures = free plane ticket, waahoo! So I am on our company travel website, getting ready to purchase my tickets, when I have this fleeting thought…I wonder when my dress is going to be ready. This whole time, I had never really thought about it, the lady at the bridal store had given me the impression that everything was great, it would be in, so I didn’t even think to rush the order, heck I didn’t even ask when it was coming in. So I call the sales associate, and she says “Mid-Late October” and I’m like, say whaa? So I ask her what can we do, can we rush the order, etc. Well that was the end of last week, and I figured I could just move the training back a couple weeks and everything would be fine. So last week I registered for the later class in October, and I am again on the travel website getting to make my new reservations, and am like, ok I need to know exactly when it will be in. I am now talking to the manager because the girl that ordered my dress, that failed to tell me when it would be in, ‘no longer works there.’ Anyways, the manager tells that the manufacturer expects it to ship in mid-October, but I could put an overnight delivery charge of $75 if I wanted to. So over lunch I am contemplating $75, because that was definitley not in my budget, and then I start to get a little irritated. Because why on earth should I pay the overnight delivery fee if it’s their fault that I was never given an option to rush it. So I get back on the phone with her, and she now tells me, well they are expected to ship it in mid-October, which means, sometime in October, my dress gets shipped from Bejing to Austrailia to the USA. My overnight shipping only covers from Austrailia to the USA. Not only that, but the shipment could possibly run late, it might get on the later shippment in October, meaning it wouldn’t even get here until NOVEMBER. So I go from this:
To this in .0001 seconds:
Needless to say, I was a little upset. She then starts telling me, “You know, you might not have time for alterations for the wedding, let alone your bridal portraits. I really hope you dress comes in on time. You really should have thought about this before you decided to have your bridal portraits in NYC. No, we cannot guarantee that your dress will be here by October 24th, even with the overnight shipment.” So by this time, the bridezilla comes out, I am trying at all costs not to lose my temper with this woman, and to not give her a piece of my mind. I’m thinking to myself, ya, I hope my dress comes in on time too!! In the end, I calmed myself down, long enough to tell her that I needed to know the exact details of my dress’ whereabouts, and when it would be in, especially because I already have bought my plane tickets, and that I needed her to find a way to rush my dress, somehow. We got off the phone, and she promised to call first thing in the morning, and call me by 10am with all the details she could find out about my dress.
So I go home, and am a little emotional, and way sensitive. It was just one of those days, I was going to work out with Adam, and could not wait just to hug him and have him calm me down, he’s really great at doing that, and I LOVE that he is so comforting during times when I am not thinking too clearly. So I went and met up with him, and we talked after we worked out, and as I was on the verge of tears, he played silly songs to me on his guitar and made me laugh. And told me everything was going to be ok, and that I didn’t need to worry about it anymore. And by the time I got home, and was tired from running, and being all worked up, and spent some time in prayer and read Psalm 139, and I just went to bed, it was a hard and long day.
Skip to this morning, the woman calls, my dress is actually scheduled to come on an earlier shippment, and should be here late-September/beg-October. I was so happy, and so excited. And then I was going through my earlier blog posts and remembered the scripture I had read the night before, and got kinda sad. Why had I not just talked to the woman, and talked to God about it. I mean I know that seems over-simplistic, and I know God is not a genie-in-a-bottle type of thing. But this was a big deal, and I was frustrated that I had once again allowed my human nature take over and want to control the situation, and have something to get stressed out about, when it really was all in the Lord’s hands. And just like the ceremony location, and all the other little details of the wedding, it was going to work out, and it did, but I lacked the faith in the middle of the situation. I think that’s a lot of what our ‘drama’ in life is, (mid you, there are very serious things that people struggle and deal with, much larger than a wedding dress), those little things that all start to pile up and kinda send you over the edge, are a lot of not trusting that the Lord has it in control, He’s got it, I can relax, but a lot of the time we don’t, or I don’t. Because I want it fixed, now right now, like a 3 year old demanding their crayons, that’s how we act in life sometimes. So that is what I am just working and praying about right now, because although sometimes it’s easier to go to the Lord with the big things in life, often times in those smaller things we just lack faith to let it go, and trust. But I’ll keep working at, and praise God He keeps working on us, and putting situations over and over again in our lives.

So we are in the process of getting our wedding webiste together, and I am totally at a loss for words, well that, and a loss of motivation. Don’t get me wrong, I am still more than ever ready to get married, but for some reason I am feeling a lot of pressure over what to write, does it look good, does it sound good, is it cool, etc. So much to the point where I avoid working on it at all cost, weird right? The fact of the matter is, I just need to get out there and do it, suck it up, quit whining and finish the thing. Melinda has given me a good deadline of August 1, deadlines are good, I usually do well with them; however, it doesn’t mean I am not procrastinating like crazy! Not to mention, every time I talk to her, I am hoping she doesn’t ask about it
And I know as soon as she reads this, I will be getting an instand message asking how the website is coming, just kidding. So…if anyone wants to be my content writer/editor of the website I am now taking applications, and by the way it has to be finished by Friday

Great Weekend…
July 24, 2008 · Leave a Comment
So this past weekend, Adam and I packed up the Honda and took off to Austin for Erin & JT’s wedding. Seeing as how things have been a little hectic around here lately, it was super nice to just get in the car and drive. While we were at Target and looking for a good cd to play in the car, we came across the audio cd of the new John Mayer DVD that was released just a few weeks ago, if you haven’t checked it out yet, you should, defintiley worth the $$. Anyways, we were pretty excited, and picked it up and got some Chick’fil’a and hit the road. We got into Austin around 5ish, and after getting to the hotel, we decided to go find Adam a shirt for the wedding. We used his iphone to drive all over Austin looking for a mall that we weren’t going to get mugged walking into, and finally found a Macy’s that looked semi-decent. We ended up finding a great shirt and tie, for less than $30, that’s pretty impressive, so fyi, if you are looking for a good sale, head to Macy’s. After the mall, we went to go eat at ZTejas, and sat on the patio that overlooked a valley, it was beautiful, not hot, and the sun was setting. Definitely a great date night place, and it was nice to be alone, since everyone else was at the rehearsal dinner.
After dinner, we met up with Chris and Heather to this spot where everyone was going dancing, but, Chris lost his ID, and apparently didn’t look old enough to get into the honky tonk bar, so we went and had some drinks at the Iron Cactus, which turned out to be great because it was quiet, and we got to spend some great time with them in a place that was quiet enough to where we weren’t screaming at each other, only drawback was it was like 50 degrees, so Heather and I were a little chilly. On Saturday I went and ate breakfast with Heather’s family while Adam sat in the lounge with the men watching golf and talking business. Everyone had to start getting ready for the wedding, so Adam and I decided to go work out, since for some reason we both decided to sign up for the marathon. After running, we went to eat lunch and ran some errands. After searching for what seemed like hours for a store to by starch, we finally found one that ended up being like a half mile from where we were driving around. So we spent a good deal of time on Adam’s iphone:
We were not terribly excited about driving around lost for awhile, but after eventually finding it we went back to the hotel, got dressed and headed to the wedding. The wedding was beautiful, Erin looked great, and JT had his dress uniform on.
The wedding was beautiful, Erin looked great, and JT had his dress uniform on. The reception was back at the hotel, so after the ceremony we headed back, and had a few cocktails, and hung out with Melody and Chris.
We had a great time catching up with everyone, here is Adam looking all pimped out in his new shirt and tie on the way to the reception. He wore purple, gotta love a man that can pull of pastels!!
The night was fun, the DJ was a little weird, “Baby Got Back” was the last song played at the wedding, but it made for an interesting and fun night. Lauren, Heather, and Hayden were all part of the wedding, and they looked great!
At the end of the night everyone was pretty tired, but I think we all had a great time! The guys were pretty wiped out from getting their groove on all night long. I think they came up with some pretty interesting dance moves, I should have gotten them on video, dangit, I need to get better at that:
Doesn’t it look like Hayden has his hand on Adam’s thigh, haha! That’s hilarious. Anyways, on Sunday we drove home, and ended up taking a Sunday nap in Spring. We drove back into town later that night and met Micah for our Sunday fajita night at Chuy’s. All in all, great weekend, great rest, great time with friends!!

Let’s take a poll…..

So important things first, I have decided to go ahead and set up my new gmail account for after I get married. Primarily, I am setting this up because all the good user names are already taken, and I didn’t want anymore Lindsey Ashworth’s to sign up for gmail email accounts. Literally, as I was filling out the forms, one of my names became unavailable. And secondly, it’s just a fun thing to do. So selfishly, I have signed up for a few email accounts, but can’t decide which one to use…so I need some help. Here is what I have so far that is available:
So which one do you guys like best? Remember this is a critical decision, so act fast
Just kidding!!

Meet Emme
July 22, 2008 · 1 Comment
So Erika & Tonya blogged about their dogs today, and since I have been lacking some serious content, I figured I’d copy them. Well, actually Tonya started it, Erika copied her, and I’m copying Erika, so there ya go, much more information than I’m sure you care to know. Anyways, back to Emme.
Emme is more like my toddler than my dog, but she sure is cute!!
Emme’s Nicknames: Emme, Em, Emerson, Emme Bear, Emme Bemme Bo Bemme (my mom calls her this), Sweet Girl, Emme Girl, Sweet Pea, Baby Girl
Emme came into our lives in January of 2007, I had just moved into a brand new house, and figured what better way to celebrate than to get a puppy. Really though, I was looking online at craigslist in the ‘pets’ section, (I advise you not to do this if you do not want a pet), and came across this sweet sweet little puppy, her name was Rosie. Of course I didn’t like that name, and since our original puppy named Emme passed away in September of 2006 from distemper (see pic below), and we only had her a couple weeks, we decided to recycle the name.
I contacted the lady from the craigslist ad who turned out to be an employee who worked for BARC (the local Houston pound) and she was trying to rehome the puppies. Emme’s mom came into the pound, was diagnosed with heart worms, and they were ready to put her to sleep, and Lydia stepped in and asked if she could take the dog home and let her pass away in a peaceful home. Well, a week later the dog had puppies and Emme was one of the puppies, they didn’t even know the mom was pregnant, so how could I say no to a story like that. Emme was so sweet when she was a puppy, she had Kenai to learn from, and Kenai was so patient with her. She would crawl all over her, bite her ears, and even drink from the same water bowl while standing underneath her, she was quite the cutie, and very playful. She is now 50 pounds, is a German Shepard/Border Collie mix, so she has tons of energy, and is pretty smart, sometimes too smart for her own good.
Favorite Places to Play: At daycare, yes she goes to daycare, and it’s worth every penny. She goes to Happy Tails, and you can even watch your dog on the web cam if you want, but they are so sweet to her there, and she gets to excited! She also likes the bayou at the dog park off of Allen Parkway and Montrose, she loves the water. Mudpuddles, Erika learned about this the hard way, for some reason, Emme has a unique obsession with water/mud puddles. They probably start out as waterpuddles, but by the time she is done, it is full fledged mudd. She runs and slides in them like they are a slip’n’slide, and then proceeds to roll around in it like she has found a pile of gold (think of the dad duck on Duck Tails diving into his pool of coins). She also loves carpet, particularly my parent’s living room carpet, I don’t know why, but similar to the mudpuddles, she rolls around, and crawls on her belly like she is crawling under barbed wire all the way across the room.
Favorite Sleep Spots: Emme will sleep just about anywhere, her favorite spots are, passed out on the cold tile floor at my parent’s house, underneath my parent’s bed or in the corner by their couch, on her little pillow, or on the couch stuck in between the coushins. She also likes to sleep in her kennel that pops up like those laundry hampers, she really likes that.
Favorite Treat: Hmm…I’m not sure that she has a favorite treat, anything she can chew on, rawhides, and any type of human food. She’s not really super motivated by food, but she’ll pretty much take anything. One time I gave her a slice of lemon to see if she would eat it, and she swallowed it whole, but spit it up the next morning. One of her favorite things during the hot days are ice cubes, those are a pretty big deal for her.
Food: Purina for sensitive skin, same as Erika. Sometimes if I don’t plan appropriately, she’ll get stuck with the cheap kind for a day or two, but she usually has the good stuff. She has really bad allergies, and scratches all the time if I don’t get her the good stuff.
Favorite Toys: Waterbottles! She loves water bottles. It’s one of the few things she will play with, and she will chew them until they are literally completely flat. Other than that, she really only will play with toys at my parent’s house, and she has a squeaky one that she is particularly fond of. I can tell because she has had it forever and hasn’t chewn it to pieces yet. We heard that some people use laser pointers and let the dogs chase it, we tried it yesterday, and she looked at Adam, and was like, ’seriously, I know you’re holding that in your hand, give me a break’ and then went and laid down, it was pretty funny.
Favorite Thing to Do: Run, wrestle, play chase, water, chase the squirells/birds/cats, and get her ears rubbed. I would love to never have to have her on a leash, but unfortunately she will take off like a speeding bullet everyonce in awhile, but we are working on this, but she does like to run. Sometimes I will take her on my bike with me for a run around the block, she keeps up well, and I have only fallen off once, on Heights Blvd 5pm not a good deal, but other than that she really likes it.
When the Cats Away: Emme has just now started staying out of her crate during the day, she is usually always very good. She has chewn up a piece of paper, and some playing cards, but other than she has done great. She’s a great gaurd dog, and her bark is much bigger than she is, so I think she could scare off any bad people that come to the house. She usually has a pretty good sense about people, so I trust her.
Tricks: Emme knows a few tricks, the basics, Sit, LayDown, Roll Over, Up, Speak, Shake, Other Paw, High Five. The only one she ‘forgets’ is roll over, but if you give her the sign and wait, she’ll usually bark, and growl, and lay on her side, and eventually she will roll over, she hates it though.
Overall, she is such a sweetheart. She does have some selective hearing that we are going to be working on. I am moving in with my parents this week for a few months before the wedding so she will be in her favorite place on earth. Adam & I love her very much!

A Great Weekend…
July 10, 2008 · Leave a Comment
This July 4th was just one of those weekends that you look back, and you’re like, man I’m relaxed and rested, but I actually accomplished something. Adam and I headed up to Spring Thursday night for the July 4th weekend. With lots to do, we figured it would be easier and less stressful just to take up room & board at my parent’s house, and it was great. Thursday night Adam had rehearsal, so after my massage and the much needed cleaning of my room, Emme & I went to my parent’s house and watched most of Harry Potter, it was great. Emme was so excited to be at her favorite place on earth. She really is like a different dog up there, she heads straight for the carpet, and rolls around for about 10 minuites before looking anxiously for someone to play with her, throwing bones and toys across the room. She liked Harry Potter too, only because it meant that she could trot from person to person and have tons of attention. After Adam got done with rehearsal, he came over and we hung out for a bit, and then went to bed. On Friday morning, I woke up bright and early at 9am, I’m sure that’s like noon for some people, but for me to wake up that early on my own is pretty amazing. After having breakfast on the patio with my parents and Emme, Adam woke up and headed to work for the big 4th of July celebration they were having at the church. During the afternoon, we worked out, Emme chased some squirells while I was trying to run which is always nice. I’m half expecting to get a citation one day for animal abuse, not really, but sort of. She will try and try, no matter how tired she is, no matter how hard I pull her collar, no matter how hard I spank her, nothing phases her when she is on the hunt. My parents said they could hear my hand hit her butt 100 yards away, but that’s what it takes to get her attention. Don’t worry, she is defintiley not being abused, she has very thick skinned, and is a little stubborn, I’m sure she could use some obedience training. After the park we showered and headed up to the Woodlands mall to eat. We had some great sushi, and I taught my parents that “spicy tuna” does not always mean spicy. I was impressed. And we did some people watching, it’s interesting that a good chunk of older women in the Woodlands tend to dress 20 years younger than they actually are with a ton of jewelry, I found it to be pretty amusing. After lunch/dinner we headed over to Dillards just to see what they had in terms of suit selections for the wedding, and we stumbled upon a goldmine! Tons of perfect suits at a fraction of the cost, my dad looked very handsome as we had him model the suit and tie for us. I was so excited to call Adam and tell him about our discovery, and in good spirits we set off for the 4th of July celebration at the church. I was so impressed with Faithbridge. The entire event was free, totally, with a concert from Nathan & Christy Nockels of Watermark. HEB donated almost all the food and drinks, and you didn’t have to pay a penny, and everything was from donations instead of using tithe money for the event, and it was such an incredible way to serve the community, I was way impressed. We met a ton of people there, Hayden & Lauren & their daughter Hayley; Melody & Jesse & their daughter Ryleigh; Matthew & Lizi and their 4 kids; Micah; Todd & his girlfriend; and Alissa & Neil were supposed to come but didn’t quite make it. So we staked out our territory in the grass and waited for the festivities to begin. I wish I would have brought my camera, it was great, Adam didn’t have to work during the whole thing, so we got to watch fireworks together, with kids crawling all over, and the weather was amazing!!!! I couldn’t believe it was July 4th with the unbelievable weather, so cool and breezy, so great! After the fireworks, we headed out with Micah to go grab some late dinner, and had a blast laughing and talking. He is one of the few people that can make Adam do the thing where he laughs so hard his shoulders shake and he has to put his hand on his stomach and usually pounds on the table, it makes everyone else laugh harder I think, I love to seem him laugh like that. After a late night we headed back to my parent’s house and passed out! On Saturday, we were lazy which is always nice. I got my haircut, and mom & I went and had our nails done while my dad & Adam trimmed the trees and finished up some work at Faithbridge. After a great lunch of really good sandwhiches Adam and I headed to Dillards to do some suit shopping and registering. We found an incredible suit – a Hicky Freeman, which I kept calling Hinky Freedman by accident. It’s beautiful, and better yet, it was like 80% off!! So we picked out his entire outfit for the wedding, and he looks so handsome, I can’t wait to see him the day of the wedding. After that we went to go register upstairs which turned into a huge disaster, not huge but a disaster for sure. So at Dillards they don’t just give you the gun and let you walk around, no, you have to go around with the sales associate and we had no clue what we wanted to register for. Besides us both being tired and lazy, Adam literally was laying on one of the beds at one point, we decided maybe today would not be a good day to register. So, I asked him to go tell the lady that we were going to come back another time. So, I have my purse ready to walk out, and here come the sales lady and Adam, gun in hand. I pulled him around the corner, and gave him one of those, ‘what happened?’ looks, what happened was he got suckered into doing ’some registering.’ So to make a long story even longer, we ended up registering for some towels that I don’t like and some shower curtain that we will probably change, but we learned a good lesson, don’t try to register if you don’t feel like it. After leaving Dillards we headed to Best Buy and bought the John Mayer DVD that just came out, it’s awesome!! I would definitley recommend it. We ended up going back to Dillards later with my parents to buy my dad’s suit and Chris’, so we are well on our way to having everyone dressed for the wedding. After a nice dinner at Macaroni Grill, we headed home and went to bed pretty quickly. On Sunday we finished off the weekend with church at Faithbridge, Matthew & Lizi lead worship and Ben Stewart preached. Matthew & Lizi and the kids, along with Adam’s parents came over and had hotdogs and hamburgers, it was just a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. And after Adam took a super long nap, we went back down to our neck of the woods, and met Micah for our weekly meeting at Chuy’s. So if you made it through this post, congratulations, but it was a terriffic weekend, lots of memories!!

East Coast or West Coast?
July 3, 2008 · 2 Comments
Decisions, decisions, decisions…..Man do you ever wish you could play that game again like you did in elementary school with the little hand folded paper-chinese-tells you who you’re gonna marry thing? Or was that Mash? I think both. Anyways, that thing where you say, pick a number, then you move it back and forth, and you keep doing it until you unfold the little corner and it tells you your answer? I need one of those, so I can narrow down some choices for the honeymoon spot. Now this is a way trivial post, I’m bored at work with nothing to do, so I figured I’d fly my request onto the internet to receive some insight, so all comments are greatly appreciated. Ok, so a lot of how the wedding planning stuff has gone is that I do some research, and narrow the choices down from a ton, and Adam and I make the final decisions together, sometimes he does the research, but I have more free time on my hands. Long story longer, I thought that we had it narrowed down to one spot, and by narrowed down I mean, got a recommendation from Alissa about the Riu Resorts, and found one that is opening in October, good price, good location, ready, set, book it, WAIT! On Saturday Adam and I went to Costco after a long day of running errands. We did wedding stuff all day long, it was great, and were just doing some window shopping at Costco, got a few items, had our polish sausage hot dogs and drink combo for $1.50 (who knows if that was real polish sausage - I doubt it, but that’s what you get for $1.50) and were walking out of the story, Riu Resorts in Puerto Vallarta seemed perfect! And then, along with the diamond booth, the window blind booth, the car buying and tire buying booth, was the travel booth. Unsuspectingly, I picked it up, and opened the front cover, and there it was, a gorgeous all inclusive resort in Riviera Maya. I thought it would be something fun to look through and get some ideas. Which brings me back to today, Riviera Maya is on the East side of Mexico, Puerto Vallarta is on the West, not to mention like the thousand other places in between and out in the Caribean. And so I’ve been on the phone with travel agents, trying to figure out which place is best, which one has a honeymoon package, which one has the best air fare travel, and food, drinks, etc. So that is my dilema today, and not a bad one either. It is a blessing to be deciding these things, and to have the means to go on an amazing honeymoon with my husband. But if I could just narrow it down, east or west coast. And then I could really do some research, but right now there are just to many places, and by the way, according to the weather research I’ve done, it will be perfect on both coasts in November, so we are in luck. So which one should I go for, east? west? acapoulco? (i butchered that spelling) puerto vallarta? riviera maya? I am open to any and all suggestions.
